Eventhough it is not officially winter, the crowd at St. Nick's Dog Run were mighty chilly this morning. The dogs didn't seem to feel the winter in the air as there were lots of playing, etc.

The Friends of St. Nicholas Park is a coalition of residents and community based organizations, working together to revitalize our neighborhood’s natural resource. We advocate for the increase in programming, beautification projects, and the over all positive use of our 23-acre park. With the help of many neighborhood groups, including Community Board 9, the YMCA’S Jackie Robinson Youth Center, the Hamilton Heights Homeowners Association, and the Historic Harlem Parks Coalition (HHPC), we hope to achieve these goals.
Our past achievements include: organizing volunteers for work days in the park under the leadership of our gardener, working with HHPC to sponsor a four night film festival, and hosting a Halloween event, and a tree lighting ceremony.
We love our park and serve as its eyes and ears, always advocating on its behalf and working to address the public interest.
